## How to do damage correctly

During the scan, you’ll capture the guided panel images first.\
After that, you’ll be asked about **damage**.

If you can see *anything* that looks like it might be damage, it’s usually better to say **Yes** and capture it clearly. You can always correct things later at the verification stage.

***

### What you’ll see on screen

1. You take the photo requested by the guided image flow
2. You’re asked a question like **“Is there damage?”**
3. If you answer **Yes**, you’ll be asked for extra damage photos

***

### Two possible flows (depending on your provider)

#### Flow A: Panel first, then “Is there damage?”

You’ll be asked to:

* Take a photo of a panel
* Answer whether there is damage on that panel

**What to do**

* If you’re not sure whether something is damage, answer **Yes**
* You’ll then be prompted to take a **close-up** to capture it clearly

{% hint style="info" %}
If it’s borderline, capturing it now is better than missing it. You stay in control later during verification.
{% endhint %}

#### Flow B: Separate damage module (zoom in + zoom out)

In this version damage capture is a seperate module you’ll be asked for **two photos**:

**1) Zoom in (close-up)**

* Take the photo from around **10 inches** away (about **25 cm**)
* The aim is to clearly show the damage on screen

**2) Zoom out (context)**

* Step back and capture enough of the area so Wondle can understand **which panel** the damage is on

{% hint style="warning" %}
A close-up without context can be hard to place. The zoom-out is what anchors the damage to the correct panel.
{% endhint %}

### Confirm the photos before you move on

After taking the damage photos, you’ll be asked something like:

**“Are you happy with this photograph?”**

Take your time:

* If it looks blurred or unclear, choose **No** and retake it
* If it’s sharp and easy to see, choose **Yes** and continue

{% hint style="info" %}
A few extra seconds here can save time later. Clear photos make the results and verification faster and more reliable.
