***

### Quick checklist

* [ ] I selected the **green +** button
* [ ] I chose an **existing image** or **uploaded a new image**
* [ ] I selected the correct **location / damaged part**
* [ ] I selected the correct **damage type**
* [ ] I selected the correct **severity**
* [ ] I saved the change and checked it appears in the final list

***

### 1) Select the green **+** button

1. Select the green **+** button to add a new damage item.

***

### 2) Choose your image source

You can add damage using either:

#### Option A: Use an existing image

* Select an image already captured during the scan.

#### Option B: Upload a new image

* Upload a completely new image from your device.

{% hint style="info" %}
If the scan image isn’t clear enough (tight angles, glare, or distance) or it wasn't detected then uploading a new close-up can make sure the report is still accurate.
{% endhint %}

***

### 3) Follow the manual selection steps

Once your image is selected, follow the same verification flow used for editing: [verifying-and-correcting-results](https://wondle.gitbook.io/wondle-user-guide/welcome-to-wondle/dealing_with_lease_damage_results/verifying-and-correcting-results "mention")

#### Select the location (damaged part)

* Choose the most accurate vehicle location (panel/area) for the damage.

#### Select the damage type

* Choose the category that best matches the damage (for example: scratch, dent, scuff).

#### Select the severity

* Choose the severity that best matches what you can see in the image.

{% hint style="warning" %}
Take your time. Location, type, and severity are the three fields that determine how the damage is recorded in the report.
{% endhint %}

***

### 4) Save and confirm

* Select **Save** to add the damage item.
* Confirm it now appears in your results list and in the final report stage.
