### Paintwork, vehicle body, bumpers and trim

#### General condition (painted areas)

* Painted areas (including painted bumpers, body mouldings and mirrors) must not have rust, corrosion or discolouration.
* Repaired chips, scratches and dents are acceptable if completed to a professional standard by repairers who can provide full warranty on their work.
* Clear evidence of poor repair (for example flaking paint, preparation marks, paint contamination, rippled finish, or poorly matched paint) is not acceptable.

#### Chips

* Chips **≤ 3mm diameter** are acceptable if **not rusted**.
* Maximum permitted:
  * **4 chips on any panel**
  * **6 chips per door edge**
  * **8 chips on any forward-facing panel**

#### Dents

* Dents **≤ 15mm diameter** are acceptable if:
  * there are **no more than 2 per panel**, and
  * the **paint surface is not broken**.
* **Chips within dents** are not acceptable.
* Dents on the **roof** or on the **swage line of any panel** are not acceptable.

#### Scratches

* Surface scratches **≤ 25mm** are acceptable where **primer or bare metal is not showing**, provided they **can be polished out**.
* Maximum permitted: **4 surface scratches on one panel**.

#### Unpainted mouldings and wheel arch trim

* Scuffs and scratches **≤ 25mm** are acceptable if the moulding/trim is **not broken, cracked, or deformed**.
